John and Merry Powers opened the Old Town Gallery in 1996 in a 1920's storefront in historic downtown Tustin. Initially, the one thousand square foot space was to serve as a printmaking studio for John. Since the space was

more than he needed for his press they decided to open a gallery in the front half of the shop.

Over the years, John used his contacts in printmaking circles to showcase artists from Southern California and from around the country and the world. On numerous occasions they hosted student shows, new member shows for the Los Angeles Printmaking Society, and fundraising shows featuring donated prints to raise money for pediatric cancer research.

In summer of 2008, The Old Town Gallery and studio were completely remodeled and renamed OT Gallery. The name has been modified and space can now accommodate more art, but the goal of presenting the best in contemporary printmaking remains the same.

We hope that you will plan a future visit to see one of the exciting shows we will be mounting this year.
